Have fabulous hair at any age!
The key to a great hairstyle at any age is to first find a style that accentuate your favorite features and compliments your face shape. Don’t forget about your hair texture, thick hair should be worn longer and fine hair should be worn on the shorter side. Layers can be added to any style for those who want more body and bounce; the shorter the layers the more movement your hair will have.

If your complexion is on the pale side and have brown hair, consider going lighter or at least having some highlights painted or foiled in. Super dark shades can wash you out and even make you appear older. Thinking about going blond? If you had blonde hair as a kid, you’ll likely look good blonde as an adult. Someone who gets hair color right often is Jennifer Lopez. Her golden brown tone with a hint of brass compliments her complexion perfectly.
Nowadays, you don’t have to go short just because you are getting older and just because you’re a mom doesn’t mean you can be sexy. It’s more about picking a style that fits your lifestyle and personality. If you are always busy running around, perhaps try a “lob” which is the newest take on a bob. It’s long enough so that you can pick it up in a ponytail if needed but short enough to make it low maintenance. The longer the hair the longer it will take to style.
TIP: If you struggle with manageability, opt for a Keratherapy Keratin treatment to remove frizz and cut your styling time in half.

If you are all gray, choose a lighter color because it will be easier to maintain. I say why not embrace your grays? Silvers are gorgeous colors and compliment any skin tone. So many young celebs are dyeing their hair gray; it’s one of the biggest trends at the moment.

Make sure to take care of your hair and visit your stylist for a trim every 6-8 weeks. Regardless of age, what’s most important is that you feel good and you have fun with your hair. ENJOY!

Copper reds are “red hot” right now. Avoid purple or blue based reds for a more modern look. A warm red is more natural looking and flatters almost every skin tone. Your stylist can formulate a color that works the best for your skin type. Keep in mind that red is a hard color to remove or change, so be sure you are set on standing out.
Natural Highlights are back! Sparse highlights closer to your natural color were seen on all the main stages and in every color palette. The key is to go for highlights just two shades lighter than your natural color. Ask your stylist to give you small thin strands throughout your hair and around your face to achieve this look.
Celebrities like Anne Hathaway and Ashley Greene, who have a honey-gold base, are opting for golden highlights for a more sophisticated look.
Ombre color is still going strong, but with a more natural twist. Instead of an obvious line of demarcation, try a gradual change of color from root to tip. You can go from dark to light, or vice versa. The key is to keep the color graduation subtle. The Reverse Ombre is the latest dip-dye trend to emerge from the catwalk; Jen Kao used the hair trend to compliment the Gothic inspired theme for her models during Fashion Week and the style worked amazingly well!!
We haven’t spotted too many celebs with the reverse Ombre look yet, but we’re pretty sure the style will soon take off and we will be seeing it on red carpet’s everywhere! One celeb however who is already ahead of this trend curve is Beyoncé, she was spotted with her hair in the reverse Ombre style late last year and her hair looked absolutely gorgeous!! If you don’t want the commitment, use extension to re-create this look … pop in extensions that are two to three shades darker to the bottom half of your hair and voilà!
